Cooking is a World 4 skill that allows you to create various Meals that give various permanent buffs. These meals are cooked passively and then upgraded with additional quantities of the same meal. They can also be used to purchase Nanochips or unlock Breeding Upgrades.
Getting Cooking Levels
This skill is getting this section defined because it is the first of it's kind in this game. This is the first time where you AFK matters. In order for a character to gain Cooking EXP they have to AFK within the Kitchen area with the cooking tables of the World 4 Town. In addition to EXP this is also how the player obtains Cooking Ladles which are used to speed up cooking time by 1 hour each. Note: They aren't like AFK Candies so they do not give AFK rewards, just time reduction for any ongoing meals or recipes.
There are some items such as Cooking Clogs and Chef Rings that can give you bonus Cooking Efficiency or gains.
Cooking Tables
The main bulk of all action done for the Cooking skill is at the Kitchen Tables. You initially start with one table, but can unlock nine more using Coins. Each table can independently be selected to unlock new recipes or cook already found ones.
Unlocking Recipes
To unlock a Recipe you first have some spices and combine up to four of them to get various possible dishes (displayed at the bottom of the menu). Any dish you have will still be included in the possible results, which will lessen the chances of you getting a new one which can be influenced by that table's Luck value. The following is a table to show the best Fire Time and best Luck combinations for a given dish. They are not the only combinations, but they are the best of their category. Also, it is possible that you can unlock a dish with a combination of spices that are unlocked earlier than these ones so don't forget to experiment a little bit.
A calculator has been made by Pilihp64 to try it out for yourself here.
Table Upgrades
Each table can have their Speed, Fire, and Luck upgraded using specific Spices. Speed affects how long it takes to cook a Meal, Fire is how long it takes to get each 'fire level' when researching a new recipe, and Luck influences the chance that you will get a new recipe with a given combination of Spices.
