| The aim of the game is, of course, to get as many points as possible by 'casting', holding on screen (mobile) or holding left click (PC) for the required time; then letting go to cast far enough to land on the fish [[File:MGgreenfish.png]] without hitting a mine. [[File:MGfsh5.png]]

| When your lure [[File:MGlure.png]] lands on a fish you get the corresponding points.

| The more casts you do the harder it gets, the fish targets start to move and more mines will appear on the screen.

| The real challenge is to NEVER miss. I put emphasis on this because no matter how many mines there are on the screen; if you still land on a fish, even if it is directly on top of a mine, it will still count as landing on a fish and you will not lose the game.

| Now you're allowed to miss as much as you want but the best way to get the most points is by getting a streak of landing on fish. After 3 consecutive Green Fish, Eels will start to appear and after 3 more consecutive landings (doesn't have to be Eels) Squid will appear and finally after another 3 consecutive landings on any fish makes the Whale appear. BUT once the Whale shows up; you only have one chance to land on them because after that cast, the streak resets back to one Green Fish on the screen.
