Skill Minigames
Each harvesting Skill (i.e. skills that extract resources from a node like Choppin, Mining or Fishing) also has a corresponding Minigame. When you start using a harvesting Skill you will see two icons above your character: Play Game and Just Afk. The latter just has your character harvest continuously. The former starts a Minigame that can allow you to get a burst of the corresponding resource if you do well in it. These Minigames must not be ignored; the Mage class has a passive skill that grows in strength as you get better high scores in Minigames, and certain quests from NPCs also require you to get a certain score in a particular minigame. You initially get 5 daily plays of minigames, shared across all your characters.
Each harvesting Skill has a unique minigame:
- CHOPPIN: A linear bar appears above your character, with green and red zones, and a Chop button on the side. A triangle will slide back and forth across the bar; you gain points and progress if you click the Chop button while the triangle is pointing at a green zone, and end the attempt if you click in a red zone. As you gain points the green zone gets smaller, the triangle gets faster and eventually a Gold zone appears which gives bonus points.
- MINING: A minecart starts moving along a pathway. Clicking the button makes the minecraft jump, clicking again while the cart is in midair makes the cart quickly slam down. Along the path, there will be rocks and pits. You gain points by slamming the cart down onto a rock (which also bounces it back up), you lose if the cart runs into a rock or falls into a pit.
- FISHING: A blue lake line is shown with a fish in a random position on it, with a power bar on the left. Clicking and holding the Cast button makes the power bar cycling up and down; releasing the button makes a lure fly out with its distance determined by the set power. You gain points by landing the lure directly on the fish; win or lose per cast, the game gets more difficult by adding explosive mines and making the fish move. The run ends if you land on a mine.
Grab one, grab 'em all.
For your characters to benefit the most of their Skill item slots, taking up every Skill until at least a Skill item can be equipped provides an extra boost to stats.
