The Caverns is a feature located in The Hole, it includes 2 main parts.
Firstly the Cavern Camp.png Camp where your villagers are and second The Caverns, who are located in the hole.
All the Villagers(except Polonai which you have at the start) are hidden in the caverns and must be rescued(clicked),
they can then be upgraded using Opal.png Opals which will give them xp overtime and level them up unlocking new features.

Place where the Villagers are, Interact With the Campfire to interact with their features.

Polonai, Explorer of the Hole

Polonai is the First Villager in the caverns, he is the first Villager you get.
Every level he will unlock a new Cavern.

Kaipu, Engineer of Schematics

Kaipu is the second Villager in the caverns, he is found in The Motherlode.
Every level he will unlock 3 schematics and every 5 levels 4.

Minau, Taker of Measurements

Minau is the fourth Villager in the caverns, he is found in The Lamp.

The Caverns

The caverns are located in the hole, they are unlocked by leveling up Polonai.
Every 5 caverns are a "biome".
In every biome there are 5 cavern types:

  1. Resource Producer
  2. Skilling Node
  3. Fighting Area
  4. Monument
  5. Buff Giver

Shallow Caverns

The Shallow Caverns are the first set of caverns in The Caverns.

The Well

Collect sediments from buckets to spend on upgrades or Opal.png Opals.
With the Schematic5.pngBar Expand-o-rama upgrade you can expand the cap every time you hit the max.
Once you reach 14 expansions you will need the Schematic21.pngUBER Bar Expand-o-rama-hala expansions upgrade to expand further.
You can unlock new buckets from Kaipu.

The Motherlode

Kaipu is located here
Mine the Motherlode to get ore, after a certain amount of ore gained you can Motherlode Break.pngand gain an Opal.png Opal,
then the efficiency required to mine the motherlode increases and so is the ore amount required.
You are capped at 5 layers broken per day, which is also shared with the other caverns related to skilling. When the limit is reached, the Motherlode will tragically proclaim "Please, no more! At least give me a day to recover, just a day... come back tomorrow!".

The Dawg Den

Fight hounds, each hound kill gives a score, hounds that stay alive for too long start to generate fear. once the fear bar fills up you lose.
You can get Opal.png Opals based on your highest score.
The Score Multiplier can be increased by charging the amplifiers by clicking on them, to reset you need to hold down.
Amplifiers are unlocked through Kaipu.
