The Obol Altar appears in both Encroaching Forest Villas and YumYum Grotto.
Complete its quest by purchasing BobJoePickle from the Yum-Yum Grotto Vendor to unlock Obols. You cannot do this until you've beaten the boss of World 1, Amarok the Wolf Golem.
