Warrior + strength
Which class should you choose? All of them! The game is designed around you having multiple characters of different classes, as they each specialize in a different Skill that will help you make progress. A balanced account will have at least one of each subclass, and many players have a Primary class whose combat style best suits their preferences for combat while having their other characters training or harvesting, typically in one of the skills they specialize in. Take a look at the brief summaries below to get a better idea on how each class plays.
Archer  + Agility

Mage    +
For general progression, it's recommended that your first three characters are a Warrior/Archer/Mage (in any order), and your second three characters are another Warrior/Archer/Mage (in any order). Your first three characters can class promote to Barbarian/Bowman/Shaman for World 2 skills, and your second three characters can class promote to Squire/Hunter/Wizard for World 3 skills. Once you have one of each subclass, you can work on adding the Secret class to your family.

Family Bonuses
Each class gives a family bonus. If you have more than one character with the same class and/or subclass, only the highest level character will provide the bonus.

|Warriors use Spears and specialize in Mining.

Warriors gain Damage from Strength and Accuracy from Wisdom.

With multiple separate HP multipliers, the focus on Strength for attack which also boosts HP and Warrior-specific armor pieces having the highest Defense available, Warriors and their subclasses are easily the toughest of the 3 main class types. Their attacks can also do very solid damage to enemies plus they have very strong boosts to Crit Damage, however with no core need for Agility and no Crit Chance skills they will not crit often. Their attacks are also rather short ranged and their movement is slow, so they can take some time to get in range of enemies to attack and they will get hit quite frequently; this can be tricky to deal with if you're attempting to fight a very high damage enemy above your level.
|-
|
|
|The Barbarian is a Warrior subclass that specializes in Fishing.
Warriors gain Damage from Strength and Accuracy from Wisdom.

The Barbarian focuses the Warrior even further into pure damage output, including the risky No Pain No Gain which temporarily boosts damage output at the expense of max HP and taking double damage, and the ability to lure enemies to them through Mocking Shout.
|-
|
|
|The Squire is a Warrior subclass that specializes in Construction.
Warriors gain Damage from Strength and Accuracy from Wisdom.

Almost the polar opposite of the Barbarian, the Squire focuses heavily on Defense and the ability to hit multiple targets simultaneously. It is potentially the weakest class at damage output against a single target, particularly when Balanced Spirit is in use (drops damage in order to increase Accuracy and Defence), but it is also the toughest of the classes by a wide margin.
|-
|
|
|The Blood Berserker is a Barbarian elite class that specializes in Cooking.
Warriors gain Damage from Strength and Accuracy from Wisdom.

Pushes the damage-output focus of the Barbarian to the extreme. Multiple Strength boosts, the ability for the standard attack to triple-strike through Ferocity Strike and attack rate increases makes the Blood Berserker one of the top-tier classes for damage output.
|-
|
|
|The Divine Knight is a Squire elite class that specializes in Gaming.
Warriors gain Damage from Strength and Accuracy from Wisdom.

The Divine Knight enhances the Squire's abilities in AoE combat even further. Its raw damage output is not enhanced very much compared to the jump seen between other second-to-third classes, but it also has the rare ability of enhancing the effectiveness of ALL of your characters within one of its specialized skills, Gaming.

Archer
Archer is the second of the three class choices you get from Promotheus and is necessary to unlock Bowman and Hunter as a tertiary class choice from Speccius, and subsequently Siege Breaker or Beast Master from Eliteus.

|
|Archers use Bows and specialize in Smithing.

Archers gain Damage from Agility and Accuracy from Strength.

In a quick summary, Archers fight from range and are an efficient, adaptable class set. An extra multiplier to HP and MP, the ability to make their standard attack double-strike as well as Crit and boosts to loot drop rates are endlessly useful. They also have the rare ability of having their damage improved through a completely self-automated activity, anvil Production, through Veins of the Infernal
|-
|
|
|Bowman is an Archer subclass that specializes in Catching.
Archers gain Damage from Agility and Accuracy from Strength.

A Bowman archer goes further into the combat style of putting out a very large number of attacks against one or many opponents. Through Magic Shortbow and Flax Instastring their standard attack becomes an occasional triple-strike, and the highly adaptable Homing Arrows can put up to 8 shots into several targets, or one target for high damage, and has excellent horizontal and vertical range.
|-
|
|
|Hunter is an Archer subclass that specializes in Trapping.
Archers gain Damage from Agility and Accuracy from Strength.

Compared to a Bowman, the Hunter focuses more on single-target damage and mob hunting. Their standard attack can upgrade to a triple-strike through Have Another...Again!, each of which is still able to independently Crit, and they have the rare ability to make mobs quickly respawn after death through Uwu Rawrrr, allowing for highly efficient non-AFK combat.
|-
|
|
|Siege Breaker is a Bowman elite class that specializes in Sailing.
Archers gain Damage from Agility and Accuracy from Strength.

The Siege Breaker enhances the multi-attacking Bowman even further with several new multi-striking skills. It also has the unique ability to spawn special Plunderous mobs through Pirate Flag, special mobs with the HP, EXP and Drops many times that of the standard mobs in the area, allowing for very efficient mob hunting.
|-
|
|

The Beast Master enhances a Hunter to be a bit more like the multi-attacking Bowman; it gets a number of summoning abilities that can put out multiple attacks on nearby enemies while the Beast Master fights elsewhere. It is also one of the only classes that can have its standard attack upgraded to a Quad strike (The other being the Voidwalker) through Have Yet Anotha One.

Mage
Mage is the third of the three secondary class choices you get from Promotheus and is necessary to unlock Shaman and Wizard as a tertiary class choice from Speccius, and subsequently Bubonic Conjuror or Elemental Sorcerer from Eliteus.

With no additional HP multiplier, no core need for Strength and mage-specific armor having the lowest Defense of what is available, Mages are very, very fragile, far more than any other class set. However, with an additional MP multiplier and their focus on Wisdom for attack and multiple separate enhancers to both their damage output and the amount of damage enemies take, Mages can fire very highly enhanced skills very frequently for excellent damage output...as long as you can keep them from being hit too much.

Shamans are the tougher of the two Mage subclasses, giving extended Invincibility duration when they are hit through Instant Invincibility and two skills that can either damage enemies, heal themselves or both.

Wizards focus almost purely on damage output. They get multiple active skills for unleashing carnage on entire groups of enemies at once, and the ability to accelerate their standard attack rate through Speedy Book. When it comes to pumping out damage, this class is almost unmatched.

The Bubonic Conjuror enhances the Shaman in AoE combat and damage over time, through a multitude of wide-area poison-style attacks. Combined with the ability to resurrect mobs through Raise Dead, this can let the Bubonic Conjuror do strong bursts of active mob hunting.

The Elemental Sorcerer enhances the damage-dealing ability of the Wizard to the absolute limit, and is arguably the highest damage-dealing class in existence, although also the most fragile of the Elite classes. Multiple catastrophic new spells with some of the highest damage outputs known become available, as well as Chaotic Force which allows your standard attacks to also spawn one of several second-tier spells.

Family Tree.png

Every character starts out as a Beginner. There are three main classes to branch into, namely Warrior, Archer, and Mage. Each class can branch into two different subclasses later down the road. Furthermore, each class features unique talents and specializes in a skill, like mining, smithing, and choppin. There will be a total of 38 classes. Classes are aquired by completeting certain quests from Promotheus, Speccius, and Eliteus in order of advancement.

NOTE: Base class choice is PERMANENT, however a limited number of Sub Class Swap Tokens are available via the Gem Shop each major update.

The most recent update features elite class swap tokens in limited specials.

Family Bonuses

Beginner

Beginner is the class everybody begins the game with and can be expanded upon with a main class by doing specific quests.

Before choosing a main class, the Beginner is limited to 10 talents in its talent tree as opposed to the usual 15.

The main classes available are Warrior, Archer, and Mage. There is also a Secret Class.

Class Notes

It is not specialized in anything in particular.

The Beginner class gets Sharpened Axe.png Damage and Straightshot Statues.png Accuracy from Lucky Clover.png Luck.

Warrior

Warrior is the first of three class choices you get from Promotheus and is necessary to unlock Barbarian and Squire as a tertiary class choice from Speccius, and subsequently Blood Berserker or Divine Knight from Eliteus.

Barbarian.png Barbarian Class Icon.png Barbarian The Barbarian is a Warrior subclass that specializes in Fishing Skill IconMini.png Fishing.

Warriors gain Sharpened Axe.png Damage from Fist of Rage.png Strength and Straightshot Statues.png Accuracy from Book of the Wise.png Wisdom.

The Barbarian focuses the Warrior even further into pure damage output, including the risky No Pain No Gain.png No Pain No Gain which temporarily boosts damage output at the expense of max HP and taking double damage, and the ability to lure enemies to them through Mocking Shout.png Mocking Shout.

Squire.png Squire Class Icon.png Squire The Squire is a Warrior subclass that specializes in Construction Skill IconMini.png Construction.

Warriors gain Sharpened Axe.png Damage from Fist of Rage.png Strength and Straightshot Statues.png Accuracy from Book of the Wise.png Wisdom.

Almost the polar opposite of the Barbarian, the Squire focuses heavily on Defense and the ability to hit multiple targets simultaneously. It is potentially the weakest class at damage output against a single target, particularly when Balanced Spirit.png Balanced Spirit is in use (drops damage in order to increase Accuracy and Defence), but it is also the toughest of the classes by a wide margin.

Blood Berserker.png Blood Berserker Class Icon.png Blood Berserker The Blood Berserker is a Barbarian elite class that specializes in Cooking Skill IconMini.png Cooking.

Warriors gain Sharpened Axe.png Damage from Fist of Rage.png Strength and Straightshot Statues.png Accuracy from Book of the Wise.png Wisdom.

Pushes the damage-output focus of the Barbarian to the extreme. Multiple Strength boosts, the ability for the standard attack to triple-strike through Ferocity Strike.png Ferocity Strike and attack rate increases makes the Blood Berserker one of the top-tier classes for damage output.

Divine Knight.png Divine Knight Class Icon.png Divine Knight The Divine Knight is a Squire elite class that specializes in Gaming Skill IconMini.png Gaming.

Warriors gain Sharpened Axe.png Damage from Fist of Rage.png Strength and Straightshot Statues.png Accuracy from Book of the Wise.png Wisdom.

Class Notes
Archer.png Archer Class Icon.png Archer Archers use Wooden Bow.png Bows and specialize in Smithing Skill IconMini.png Smithing.

Archers gain Sharpened Axe.png Damage from Quickness Boots.png Agility and Straightshot Statues.png Accuracy from Fist of Rage.png Strength.

In a quick summary, Archers fight from range and are an efficient, adaptable class set. An extra multiplier to HP and MP, the ability to make their standard attack double-strike as well as Crit and boosts to loot drop rates are endlessly useful. They also have the rare ability of having their damage improved through a completely self-automated activity, anvil Production, through Veins Of The Infernal.png Veins of the Infernal

Bowman.png Bowman Class Icon.png Bowman Bowman is an Archer subclass that specializes in Catching Skill IconMini.png Catching.

Archers gain Sharpened Axe.png Damage from Quickness Boots.png Agility and Straightshot Statues.png Accuracy from Fist of Rage.png Strength.

A Bowman archer goes further into the combat style of putting out a very large number of attacks against one or many opponents. Through Magic Shortbow.png Magic Shortbow and Flax Instastring.png Flax Instastring their standard attack becomes an occasional triple-strike, and the highly adaptable Homing Arrows.png Homing Arrows can put up to 8 shots into several targets, or one target for high damage, and has excellent horizontal and vertical range.

Hunter.png Hunter Class Icon.png Hunter Hunter is an Archer subclass that specializes in Trapping Skill IconMini.png Trapping.

Archers gain Sharpened Axe.png Damage from Quickness Boots.png Agility and Straightshot Statues.png Accuracy from Fist of Rage.png Strength.

Compared to a Bowman, the Hunter focuses more on single-target damage and mob hunting. Their standard attack can upgrade to a triple-strike through Have Another... Again!.png Have Another...Again!, each of which is still able to independently Crit, and they have the rare ability to make mobs quickly respawn after death through Uwu Rawrrr.png Uwu Rawrrr, allowing for highly efficient non-AFK combat.

Siege Breaker.png Siege Breaker Class Icon.png Siege Breaker Siege Breaker is a Bowman elite class that specializes in Sailing Skill IconMini.png Sailing.

Archers gain Sharpened Axe.png Damage from Quickness Boots.png Agility and Straightshot Statues.png Accuracy from Fist of Rage.png Strength.

The Siege Breaker enhances the multi-attacking Bowman even further with several new multi-striking skills. It also has the unique ability to spawn special Plunderous mobs through Pirate Flag.png Pirate Flag, special mobs with the HP, EXP and Drops many times that of the standard mobs in the area, allowing for very efficient mob hunting.

Beast Master.png Beast Master Class Icon.png Beast Master Beast Master is a Hunter elite class that specializes in Breeding Skill IconMini.png Breeding.

Archers gain Sharpened Axe.png Damage from Quickness Boots.png Agility and Straightshot Statues.png Accuracy from Fist of Rage.png Strength.

The Beast Master enhances a Hunter to be a bit more like the multi-attacking Bowman; it gets a number of summoning abilities that can put out multiple attacks on nearby enemies while the Beast Master fights elsewhere. It is also one of the only classes that can have its standard attack upgraded to a Quad strike (The other being the Voidwalker) through Have Yet Anotha One.png Have Yet Anotha One.

Mage

Mage is the third of the three secondary class choices you get from Promotheus and is necessary to unlock Shaman and Wizard as a tertiary class choice from Speccius, and subsequently Bubonic Conjuror or Elemental Sorcerer from Eliteus.

Class Notes
Mage.png Mage Class Icon.png Mage Mages use Gnarled Wand.png Wands and specialize in Choppin Skill IconMini.png Choppin.

Mages gain Sharpened Axe.png Damage from Book of the Wise.png Wisdom and Straightshot Statues.png Accuracy from Quickness Boots.png Agility.

Shaman.png Shaman Class Icon.png Shaman The Shaman is a Mage subclass that specializes in Alchemy Skill IconMini.png Alchemy.

Mages gain Sharpened Axe.png Damage from Book of the Wise.png Wisdom and Straightshot Statues.png Accuracy from Quickness Boots.png Agility.

Shamans are the tougher of the two Mage subclasses, giving extended Invincibility duration when they are hit through Instant Invincibility.png Instant Invincibility and two skills that can either damage enemies, heal themselves or both.

Wizard.png Wizard Class Icon.png Wizard The Wizard is a Mage subclass that specializes in Worship Skill IconMini.png Worship.

Mages gain Sharpened Axe.png Damage from Book of the Wise.png Wisdom and Straightshot Statues.png Accuracy from Quickness Boots.png Agility.

Wizards focus almost purely on damage output. They get multiple active skills for unleashing carnage on entire groups of enemies at once, and the ability to accelerate their standard attack rate through Speedy Book.png Speedy Book. When it comes to pumping out damage, this class is almost unmatched.

Bubonic Conjuror.png Bubonic Conjuror Class Icon.png Bubonic Conjuror The Bubonic Conjuror is a Shaman elite class that specializes in Laboratory Skill IconMini.png Laboratory.

Mages gain Sharpened Axe.png Damage from Book of the Wise.png Wisdom and Straightshot Statues.png Accuracy from Quickness Boots.png Agility.

The Bubonic Conjuror enhances the Shaman in AoE combat and damage over time, through a multitude of wide-area poison-style attacks. Combined with the ability to resurrect mobs through Raise Dead.png Raise Dead, this can let the Bubonic Conjuror do strong bursts of active mob hunting.

Elemental Sorcerer.png Elemental Sorcerer Class Icon.png Elemental Sorcerer The Elemental Sorcerer is a Wizard elite class that specializes in Divinity Skill IconMini.png Divinity.

Mages gain Sharpened Axe.png Damage from Book of the Wise.png Wisdom and Straightshot Statues.png Accuracy from Quickness Boots.png Agility.

The Elemental Sorcerer enhances the damage-dealing ability of the Wizard to the absolute limit, and is arguably the highest damage-dealing class in existence, although also the most fragile of the Elite classes. Multiple catastrophic new spells with some of the highest damage outputs known become available, as well as Chaotic Force.png Chaotic Force which allows your standard attacks to also spawn one of several second-tier spells.
